We spent two nights at Knysna Elephant Park in March 2026 and took the opportunity to do an elephant walk whilst we were there. It was an amazing experience and one that will be forever remembered. It was well organised and we felt completely safe. These elephants are gentle giants that have been rescued and looked after by rangers that truly care for their welfare. They each have quite distinct characteristics and they are clearly happy and content. - Gordon

The Elephant Experience was absolutely brilliant, the walk around the park with your dedicated Elephant and Guide, was enjoyable, asking as many questions as you wish, and the guide telling you all about the Elephants and how they arrived at Knysa. Would recommend anyone thinking about doing it, definitely do it, and the stay in the lodge was great. - Wendy

Four of us from North America had just spent four days on safari in the Kruger, where we had many encounters with elephants. We did not know what to expect here but were very pleasantly surprised. Unlike the Kruger where the wild elephants would rather not have us around, these rescued elephants were happy to be fed, walk with and around us, and allow to be up close and personal. We were very happy to elect to be part of the end of day walk with them, where were walked with a guide in close proximity and fed them again. It is a privilege to be with these magnificent creatures!!! We greatly enjoyed our time there and happy to support this great cause. Thanks. - Jeffrey

I was looking forward to this experience all my life and it did not disappoint. In fact it totally exceeded all my hopes. What an amazing thrill to get up close to a giant African Elephant. The guides were amazing and made me feel very comfortable. If this is on your bucket list don't miss out. Would love to be able to do it again. Our whole experience at the park was amazing. - Karen
