Our stay at Knysna Park was fantastic. Unfortunately, we only slept here for one night; we could have stayed longer. The staff is incredibly friendly. The information center at the reception is superb. There is so much to read and learn here about the magical giants: the elephants. The "Meet the Herd" and "the walk" are fantastic. The animals are well supervised by their keepers, and they are constantly watched over. This makes it possible for visitors to meet the elephants in a responsible manner. It is magnificent to see the night enclosure when you open the door of the hotel room or look at the enclosure through the window. We enjoyed it immensely! - Chantal

We had the most amazing time here, the experience of walking close to such magnificent animals in a small group with knowledgeable, friendly guides was really quite special. We spent two nights at Knysna Elephant Park in March 2026 and took the opportunity to do an elephant walk whilst we were there. It was an amazing experience and one that will be forever remembered. It was well organised and we felt completely safe. These elephants are gentle giants that have been rescued and looked after by rangers that truly care for their welfare. They each have quite distinct characteristics and they are clearly happy and content. - Gordon
