We stayed three nights at Knysna Sanctuary in the 'Sally' room which was just perfect, especially with the boma to view the elephants overnight. We had one 'elephant experience' which we loved, feeding the elephants and walking alongside them - Keisha in my case. In all instances the elephant handlers were knowledgeable and informative in a friendly manner. Samson also took us our for feeding the elephants on more than one occasion and he was a lovely man. All in all it was one of the highlights of our trip to South Africa. - Caroline

We had a lovely experience at Knyshna Elephant Sanctuary. The handlers were great at explaining about the Sanctuary and the elephants. It was lovely to feed the elephants and amazing to walk next to them for an hour. We felt safe with the handlers and the whole experience was amazing and humbling to be close up to the elephants. The Sanctuary appears to be well run and not commercial or taking advantage of visitors. We would highly recommend. - Henriette
