We all had the most amazing experience at the Knysna Elephant Park.That 3 km walk with a private, very knowledgeable guide and all the other elephant handlers was a dream come true- to walk at close proximity with Sally, Thandi, Nandi and Thato was majestic.Never felt in danger as the guides were so alert, professional, friendly but every second, protective, kind....every guide is an asset to the Park!!! Walked with elephants in the 5.00 pm trek. This was an amazing experience . There were 4 adults in our group and each matched with an elephant and a guide. You got to chat with guide and ask anything you wanted while walking along side your elephant. All of the group picked up different information and we all loved it. Felt it was a very personal experience. Would do it again. We also had food in cafe and the food was great and very reasonably priced. - Julie

This was a fabulous way to spend an afternoon! It's worth arriving early to spend time browsing the exhibits on display along with the opportunity to learn lots about elephants and the work of the sanctuary. Meeting the keepers and of course the elephants was amazing. Walking with these magnificent creatures was humbling and strangely emotional. The keepers were excellent and gave their own insight around the world of elephants. Highly recommended if visiting the Knysna area. - Guy
